Are you ready to mix it up with a triathlon? HealthCode is providing that chance with the Triathlon in a Month virtual challenge that kicks off July 1.
HealthCode’s Triathlon in a Month is a virtual local-to-global virtual activity challenge in which participants are encouraged to adopt new activities and new goals to get moving throughout the month of July.
“Triathlon in a Month is all about mixing it up,’’ said Steve Amos, founder and CEO of HealthCode. “The Triathlon in a Month activity challenge is a way for participants to experiment with new activities as they work toward their fitness goals. We are encouraging people to create their own custom triathlon – cycle, swim, run or even practice yoga. It’s summer and we want our participants safely embrace the heat while remaining physically active.’’
Physical activity is anything that gets your body moving, according the federal Centers for Disease Control and Prevention. The U.S. Department of Health and Human Services in its Physical Activity Guidelines for Americans stresses that adults each week need 150 minutes of moderate-intensity physical activity and two days of muscle strengthening activity.
Participating in the Triathlon in a Month challenge is easy. Participants sign up on the Triathlon in a Month registration page and log miles or minutes on the HealthCode online activity tracker. Throughout the month, the program leaderboard is updated with miles achieved worldwide.
HealthCode is committed to raising awareness on the powerful role of physical activity in living healthier, happier lives along with mindful nutrition and care for the environment.
Whether it is an employer looking to develop a culture of wellness or an individual seeing to stay on track, HealthCode offers goal-based challenges with more than 80,000 participants and organizations across all 50 U.S. states and in more than 30 countries.
Since launching the first Million Mile Month challenge in 2014, HealthCode’s programs have grown to monthly events, including the Triathlon in a Month in Training challenge which ends June 30.
