These are generic emails, which include a basic overview of August’s Dog Days of Summer. Tailor the email to emphasize why the Dog Days of Summer is important to your company or organization. Also, take this opportunity to share your goals for August.
Note, upon registration participants, receive additional info in an email and a pop up window.
Email Option 1
Dear _______,
This August, we will participate in the Dog Days of Summer, a global online activity challenge designed to get the most out of these long summer days!
Set and reach your own personal minute and mile goals during the challenge and help our organization reach #1 on the leaderboards! Let’s show our city, state, and nation just how many minutes and miles we can do together this August. Below are instructions on how to register as a part of our team.
HOW TO REGISTER:
1. Click here
2. Click REGISTER on an upcoming or current event
3. Choose your registration level and continue. No fees are required; registration donations are to the nonprofit HealthCode, which are tax deductible. Silver, Gold, and Platinum levels get stickers!
4. Set your minute and mileage goals
5. Select ________ as your organization
6. Choose your group (OPTIONAL)
7. Review and click on COMPLETE REGISTRATION
8. Registration is complete!
Congratulations! You are now registered. Keep an eye out for a HealthCode registration confirmation email in your inbox.
You are now ready to start your Dog Days of Summer!

Get your walking shoes, swim gear, yoga mats, and bikes. We are participating in the August Dog Days of Summer, an online activity challenge designed to get the most out of these long summer days!
We are asking you to join us in this challenge to help us all get out of our chairs and get moving. It’s simple. Just log ___ miles or ___ minutes this August, and we’ll crush our goal.
Here’s how to get started:

2. Like or Follow the official HealthCode social media pages for ideas and inspiration:
3. It’s more fun with friends and family, so invite them to join too!
4. Start entering your miles/minutes on August 1st. Sync your favorite fitness apps or log the manually on the HealthCode wellness platform
5. Check out the Leaderboards to see how we are doing on the rankings. Or see the ______ leaderboard by clicking on the ____ button on your home dashboard.
After that, all that is left is to go let those dogs out and do something active! Whether it’s running, dancing, or anything in between, every active minute counts

This is an opportunity to enjoy the summer weather by getting active. Spend some time gardening, swimming in the pool, running on new trails, or even dancing your heart out! Log those activities and celebrate the success!
We here at ______ have committed to collectively logging ___ miles and ___ minutes. Every week, we’ll have a drawing for people registered and logging activities. Prizes include _____, ____, and ______.

Log Miles/Minutes Reminder Email:
Dear ________ community,
We are now __ days into the August Dog Days of Summer challenge. Be sure you are logging all your physical activities. You can do this by using the free logging tool provided within your event registration platform.
Did you forget to log an activity from a couple days ago? No problem, you can log activities for any day since August 1st by manually inputting them and providing the date. You can either log the miles you did or the minutes. Easy as that!

Last Day of Event Email:
Dear ________ community,
Today marks the final day of the August Dog Days of Summer challenge! Be sure to complete and log those final miles for the challenge today.
We are so proud of the hard work you all have put in. There is still time to enter your activities. Before the end of the day, be sure to visit your event dashboard and log any remaining activities accomplished since August 1st by clicking the ACTIVITY tab at the top.
